A native of Short Hills, New Jersey and East Dennis, Massachusetts. Marcia graduated with an art degree from New England College in 1979. She moved to Maine with her husband in 1981 and operated Four Seasons Travel in Portland for 15 years. She collected fabrics from all over the world and has been making custom jewelry for her friends and family for many years.
After much persuasion she relented and has been offering her works to the public in fine boutiques in Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, and Cape Elizabeth, Maine as well as Chatham, Osterville, and Dennis Massachusetts and Bay Harbor Island, Florida. Her fine eye for colorful fabrics and distinctive patterens have made her "Pea Pods" an extraordinary success as each piece can be rolled a bit to make a single necklace take on a different look depending on the preference and taste of the owner.
